I thought Arctic Blasts didn’t occur at the beginning of September in Europe, but this morning my Garmin read Zero degrees and the ground was covered with Frost. Of course I was totally prepared – for warmer weather and so froze fingers, ears and I’m not sure what else.
The previous afternoon, I was walking around Forges les Eaux when I came upon a small museum on the French Resistance. A sobering experience.
Apart from the cold, the ride to Dieppe was perfect, a gradual decline via an old railway line.
Very journey has a time when you made a mistake or two. Today was mistake number two. I shouldn’t have gone via the Ferry Terminal ‘cos I ended up getting a ticket to ride and suddenly was leaving France and heading to London.
