I was asked today why do I cycle where I do and what determines it. Easy Question, not an Easy Answer. To plan a tour, well actually I don’t really plan but just have some vague goal in mind like cycle to the Black Sea from London. Then as I go I get diverted and find a different focus. – so that time I only got as far as Budapest before I skipped off to Madeira.
This year, the goal was to get to the World Rowing Champs in Linz Austria, well that lasted all of 3 days before I changed tack and am heading south to the Loire Valley and maybe beyond.
But what does hold my imagination are certain places what make me decide that I must cycle them. Last year it was this bridge near Kelhiem Germany,
Before that it was this deserted house above the Arctic Circle
and this year it was this wonderfull cycle thru water path.
Well just did the Cycle thru Water and now on to France. What next?
