Okay i promise I won’t mention it again – maybe. But despite that it was a good day. I happened to come across Simon from Chester UK and we ended up cycling together for the day, as well as stopping for a beer outside of Orléans. In fact if it hadn’t been so early in the day, we’d probably stayed at this rather bohemian place with wonderful home brew all day and in the night. Hopefully there’ll be another place like it on the way.
It’s funny but I figured that, this being tourist country, alsorts of places would be open. No, Non, Nada. In fact in this place with the obligatory Chateau, all cafes were closed, however luckily a Boulangerie was open and doing a roaring trade with the poor starving tourists. French Sandwiches or Bagettes certain beat an NZ one.
